What is Yoga with Adriene?
Yoga with Adriene is probably the largest yoga class you can imagine. With more than 200 videos starting from basics of yoga to yoga for all levels Adriene is the best online source of yoga inspiration you can find out there.
The mission of Adriene is to create “an online space for practice and growth that provides a wide array of tools that encourage you to be authentic, love yourself, and Find What Feels Good.”
How it I find Adriene?
Some time ago I was looking into 30 day challenges – just to experiment with new hobbies and activities. I have always suffered with back pain from spending too much time on the computer. I decided to look for whether any 30 day yoga challenges existed although I didn’t expect I would find any. To my surprise I found Adriene’s 30 day challenge and decided to give it a go.
Why do I absolutely recommend you to try out Yoga with Adriene?
If you do a little search through the Youtube channel of Yoga with Adriene you will realise that there is something for everyone. Sessions for happiness, for gratitude, for nurturing a better self and this is only the beginning! Sessions for back relief, for “text neck”, for hamstrings and so many more.
The other great thing is that Adriene always gives options for the different levels – from beginner to advanced. She encourages you to try out new things, but still feel good even if you “are not quite getting there today”.
The session with Adriene
In each video Adriene will greet you with a smile and a little joke and will start the session by reminding you to forget all other things and concentrate on your breathing. From this moment she will encourage you through the whole session to stay active, to remember your breathing and not hold the poses, but find what feels good. It always feels like some form of virtual support. The liveliness of Adriene is contagious so by the end of the session you are absolutely feeling alive.
How to find your Yoga session with Adriene
Think of how you feel today. Choose 1 or 2 words. Go to YouTube and type them followed by Yoga with Adriene. The chances are there will be a video with the word(s) you have selected or it will be very close to what you are looking for.
