Diver since 2014, I am currently an SSI Assitant Instructor Trainer. Right from the beginning I knew I wanted to teach scuba diving – when I say right from the beginning I mean my Open Water day 3. Since then I have spend more than 1, 000 hours and 1, 500 dives underwater teaching courses and introducing more people to the incredible underwater world.
Currently, since 2018, I am in Lanzarote with Pura Vida Lanzarote Diving.
How did I find Pura Vida Lanzarote?
I have been dreaming to visit the Underwater Museum of Art in Mexico for a few years now. Thus I was super excited to find out about the opening of the Atlantic Museum in Lanzarote at the beginning of 2017!
I had a look through some pages for Lanzarote and the more I was reading the closer I was to booking a holiday trip. My favourite place for travel advice, Tripadvisor, showed Pura Vida Lanzarote as the perfect centre to go diving with.
I read a bit more about Pura Vida and I found out that they also had dive centres in Thailand and Mexico. Looking through videos I was getting really hooked onto the idea of getting to know these Pura Vida guys better. So much so that I ended up sending my CV through instead of a booking request!

The truth told, I was over the moon when I got accepted. It was very exciting becoming part of a team who shared my passion about the underwater world, about our environment and about engaging, teaching and building a community around the things we love.

How is life for me in Pura Vida?
I was given the opportunity to teach and grow in ways I never expected. I have completed my Assistant Instructor Trainer and the amount of experiences and knowledge I have accumulated in less than a year is impressive. Not to even mention the amount of beautiful emotions shared within the team, with our lovely students and with the friends we have made along the way!
And the truth is I absolutely love it! But more importantly what makes us so excited every day is the impact we have on the people who come through our door.
